Hi Elizabeth, Thank you for your offer. I have a couple of people which I need looking up if you would please. They are Isaac Chorlton dob 1862 I think he was born in the Bowdon district, I am trying to find his parents and the second is Robert Spencer dob 1827 and his wife Anne dob 1828 they were married I think in 1851 in Lathom Cheshire. I would be grateful if you could find their parents and Anne's surname. I have been trying to find them for a couple of months now but to no avail so anything you can find would be a bonus. A Hard one Elizabeth but thanks in advance Robert Jones b13.6.1833 but i dont know where - possibly widnes/possibly north wales he died 19.5.1895 registered at prescot and would be grateful if you could try and find him for me - OR where were his family in 1881? Jennifer I have scoured the welsh and english census returns but i could only come up with this i am afraid. 1891 english census robert jones 55 forgeman merionethshire wales margaret jones 57 caernarvonshire wales catherine jones 22 liverpool lancs elizabeth jones 20 liverpool lancs john w jones 18 forgeman liverpool lancs they lived park road north (cavendish mount) birkenhead cheshire.pro RG12/2886 folio 97 page 11.

Thanks Elizabeth - they are very tempting but 'margaret' is a loose cannon - it should be Catherine. - unless of course she (mgt)was his sister!! - please say yes as you might be onto something! Can i be really cheeky and ask if you could look up Grace Ellen Jones - probably in Liverpool on the 1891 - its the address i need if you find her as that may give me a clue, it might be Duke St but surprises are welcome as there may be a widnes address instead thank you so much for this jenx

jennifer I have found grace and elizabeth jones and catherine jones in the 1901 census.grace was married to a thomas lawton and elizabeth living with them as sister in law,catherine as mother in law born 1841 bethesda caernarvonshire. i will try and work backwards.i can send you image if you would like regards lizz

Thanks Elizabeth - i have already got them in 1901 but its back from there i'm struggling with - i cant find them on the 1881 although maybe Grace Ellen was in service - theres an 11 yr old in toxteth liverpool - but i cant find the connection - thats why i was wondering about an 1891 address. ELIZABETH You are WONDERFUL - i cant believe it !!!!!!!! I'm nearly crying here - i know i'm a newbie but i just couldnt find them - not knowing where the Dad came from John - the hairdresser was graces twin and he died aged 21 - i'm waiting for his death cert - i thought it might of been a works accident - but i didnt know he was a hairdresser!!!!!
