Not sure what you are wanting to find - if you've lost a rellie in 1901 she is probably either mistranscribed or dead. You could google, or see if you can find Bristol in the historical t directories sites. nell |

ooh censorship! Looks like they don't want us recommending web sites to each other. How annoying as recommendations are part of the vitality of this site. |

a) GR doesn't allow webaddresses with d 0 t c o m or d o t c o in them. .org , . net and . gov are fine So you have to do (.)com or *com to fool them! b) if you post the name of this Bristol publican we might be able to find her. nell |

hiya nell, i doubt it, but you can try, her name was Frances Lockyer, (nee Graves) b.1841 uffculme devon, married Robert Lockyer, and had a daughter Louisa Locker, someone found frances mistranscribed on 1881 cen, i have her on 1891, in pub, all details after this are a mystery, (robert died in 1876) louisa b.1863 broadhembury, devon. like i say you can try but i very much doubt you'll find them Julie |

I don't wish to confuse things and I don't know if it's much help but when it comes to the pub....I'm wondering if it's the Navel Volunteer which is ( still ) Hotwells.......I know it's a very old building that dates back a very long time ( 1700's ).......Now adays it'scalled 'The Volly' but I think it's full name is the royal Navel Volunteer... |
