I only spend ten minutes a day on this site and a further ten minutes doing my research. This is so that I can get on with my washing, cooking cleaning etc. I only buy two certs a year, so that I can use my money more sensibly to buy dish-cloths and shoe polish etc. I do not litter my desk with a thousand scraps of scribbled on paper. You see - this hobby has made a real liar out of me! TGx |

Money?? I didn't know you had to pay money for certs. In Australia you just fill out a form and put the numbers off your little plastic card on the form, and you get your cert. You don't have to put any money in the envelope. |

Forget terms like geneaholic and anorak. Think serious researcher, or enthusiast! nell ps people on this site often talk about cleaning or housework. Are they archaic occupations, I haven't found them on the census?! |

My little grand-daughter is now 16 months old and for some reason has just started 'dusting' (I hasten to add, she hasn't learnt it from me - It must be her mother's influence!!!). Anyway, she did this the other day - picked some tissues out of the box, carefully arranged them in her little hand and started dusting away at my coffee table - on top, AND underneath, up and down all the legs - she then went around the whole room - unfortunately, there was so much dust there I had to quickly get out a duster and flick it all off before she got to the next place, otherwise she would have been 'covered' . I do hope she gets out of the habit soon!! Dea x |

Elizabeth - Many thanks for that tip - I never thought of that (and I have some of those masky things in the garage!!) - I will go and find one and have it ready before she comes again on Friday!! Dea x P.S. - She also has a plastic raincoat which will cover up the rest of her - I'll make sure she brings that with her too. X |

Dea, is that grandchild available for hire? If you put little dusters over her shoes she could get it all done in half the time. And just think, as she grows she could reach the windows to clean them. Well actually you could get her one of those squeeze things on a pole now couldnt you. Blimey, roll on grandchildren, eh? |
