Paul But before we rush into anything, I shall want to know if I am the only one you are merging with. How many people have you merged with before me? OC |

Dea, I think the reason it is easier to do other people's trees is because of the experience you have gained since starting. Often think I should start mine all over again with fresh eyes. Regards Carol |

I greeted my gentleman friend yesterday with the exciting news that the brother of my 2 x GGM, went to America and came back again and had 12 children and one of the children married her first cousin and her sister married a man in the shoemaking business and went to live in Norfolk. No wonder I cant keep a bloke! LOL! OC |

Friends and colleagues' eyes glaze over when I get on to the subject of my family history but I STILL insist on telling about my latest discovery. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME???? Must get a life. |

Sorry Fay - No cure. You have joined the rest of us !!!!!!!!! Welcome !! Dea x P.S. - The REALLY annoying thing is that you keep going off on other people's quests - I have spent ALL morning on someone else's family - FAR more interesting than mine and FAR more easy to trace - Surgeons, Manufacturer's, Journalists, Authors, Oil painters,- 16 year old FEMALES in the 1880's studying 'Analytical Chemistry - + lots more !!! My lot are much harder to trace.!! - Why is that ???? Dea x |

I have found a way of making the disease go into remission. It has been nearly a month since I last found a family member. However it will be back with a vengeance at approx. 9.45 tonight. |

When you're more interested in the dead than the living, then I'm afraid that's it. Nothing to be done about it. But at least we have support groups for our addiction, like this site. :) Bex |

No Fay, afraid if you have begun to even suspect that you are getting addicted, then it is already too late for you. There is no known cure - and don't believe these quacks who say, 'Oh, but you must have nearly finished your tree'. There is no such thing as 'finishing' a tree. After all, if there were some point in the past where it stopped, you would not be here now doing it! Stop worrying and enjoy! Tina |

No. The more you find out the worse it gets as you have 500 ancestors or relatives to look for instead of fifty. |
