back again - just found this birth Florence Annie Cole Year of Registration: 1896 Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec District: Plymouth County: Devon Volume: 5b Page: 268 wonder if she married a Haycock (witness on marriage certificate) - might be worth seeing if we can find her. |

That's okay Elaine - thanks for looking. This family have been doing this to me for ages! The bride's father behaves in a similar way - William Edward Eke at birth but William Frederick on censuses ..... Thanks again Mark |

Elaine, Just found: Florence A. Cole married Haycock in Bedwellty in September quarter 1920 - just a few months before Albert's marriage! Mark |

Just a little bit more - Albert Edward had two brothers who used to visit the family in Bedwellty from Plymouth - Jack and Ernie Cole (named for his father?). I haven't been able to find either of them in 1901. Mark |

HI Mark Have sent you a PM as well but will post here on site as well just so everyone can see that way then following messages is made a bit easier I followed the Alfred back in the 1891 census and found this Henry Cole bn 1823 Head Widow Devon Occupation Shoe maker Hetty J Cole bn 1872 Daug born Plymouth Alfred E Cole bn 1873 in Plymouth Albert H cole 1880 Plymouth Still living in Plymouth. 1881 census I think you'll like living at Rear of 6 Willow Street Plymouth Henry/transcirbed as Harry Cole 53 bn in Devon Head Shoe Maker Mary A 42 bn Vailsey, Devon Eliza 17 Wm 13 Florrie 11 He** 9 Alfred 9 Albert 1 All kids born Plymouth Also present a Boarder Wm H/E Eke 19 umarried Engine Driver.
