Hi Pity about moving from Pembrokshire - we lived in Haverfordwest (and just outside it) and found it wonderful. The move to Greenwich was almost definitely so 'he' could live in (in need of medical care?) but families could not so they lived close to the hospital. Out pensioners would not wear uniform (too expensive and who was to travel around the country and check up? Clive |

I guess he must have become a greenwich pensioner in1851 , as he is down as this in the 1851 but they were still in pembrokeshire, in 1861 his wife Martha is lodging with her newly married daughter in Greenwich. sandie |

Thank you Clive for looking for 'P.N.' I suspect this was something known only to the person who entered the records. I did ask at the record office and no-one could help. As you see I am clutching at straws for this elusive mariner. Wendy |
