Babies could be baptised twice ............... 2 possibilities are a) the child was very sickly at birth and not expected to live, so there was a quick baptism; b) the parents just did not get the baby baptised but waited a while. This sometimes happened, eg, my own grandfather was not baptised until almost a year after his birth when he and his new-born sister were baptised together. |
