Just to say it wasn't unusual for family to be evacuated with the father staying behind
They worked and needed to stay in their jobs Farming was essential War work My dad worked at the Woolwich Arsenal so was exempted as he was doing essential War work too Myself and two elder sibling went first from SE London in sept 1939 Mum came later in 1943 with a brother was born in 1941 Dad wanted them both safe but he still stayed home and worked

I agree with Shirley. I had a friend who spent the war years with her mother with cousins in Devon. Father stayed in London and visited occasionally.

Ernest John (1912) is in some trees on Ancestry that give him as marrying in 1941 in Folkestone.
This looks like the marriage: Marriages Sep 1941 Frampton Ernest J Heritage Folkestone 2a 4527 Heritage Louisa A Frampton Folkestone 2a 4527
It was her second marriage, born Louisa A Austin.

There is a son to the Heritage/Austin marriage, born in 1922, in a tree on here.
Added: Looks to have died in 2013, according to probate records.
