Have just seen this post and realise that it is about 6 years old. My gt.gt. grandmother Emma Binnie 1818-1848 was the sister of Jane Binnie. My main tree on Ancestry gives further information about the family. I have often wondered if the family emigrated as they all seemed to disappear from England.
Will add the information on here to my tree.
Thanks

Hi Julie,
Just found these email exchanges & believe your George Evans may have been a nephew of one of my 3 x great grandfathers, William Evans.
I am coming to the conclusion that George's father, Alfred, born 1817 in St Marylebone, London was a brother to William Evans, born 1815, St Marylebone, London. Two other possible siblings; Eliza born 19/08/1819 & George, born 29/10/1821 (both in Bethnal Green, London). Their parents were possibly William Evans & Mary Adams who married 01/03/1812.
Will let you know if I get to the bottom of this.
Regards
Coreen

I do believe Viola's parents Emmanuel and Mary died when Viola was very young and George Alexander FULTON adopted her. The earlier census has her as his niece then the one after that has her as his daughter. I did notice on her MC she has George Alexander Hayter as her father and there is a George Alexander Fulton as a witness. I believe there is an error with the birth fathers name on her MC and it should have been Emmanuel William Hayter. Jule

Thank you so much to greyghost, MargaretM, Maddie and Chris Ho. I really appreciate the efforts you all go to to help people. Ive just got home and have quickly skimmed through and Chris Ho you have the correct info re:
Marriages Jun 1843 (>99) BINNIE Jane Bloomsbury 1 95 EVANS Alfred Bloomsbury 1 95
Simply because one of George's children he named Robert George "BINNIE Evans so George's mothers maiden name fits.
I was going to do some gardening but just told the hubby this is the best place to come to get help when Im stuck with the family tree and have had so much help Im now going to go through it all this instead!
thanks again, you are all just amazing <3 <3 <3 Julie

Chris Ho posted a link that stated Alfred, George's father, arrived in New Zealand in 1875 on the HOWRAH.
No idea if that information was correct but these are the Evans travelling on the Howrah in 1875:
EVANS Alfred 46 A male Middlesex Plumber
Elizth 16 A female Middlesex Dressmaker
Louisa 13 A female
