no idea whether the George/Clement in one place and the George in the other place at the same time were the same person! or who the other party in the other place was, despite searching ... the name doesn't match either of the spouses in the other two George marriages in the index ...

from the other record of your dad that I sent, I figured the servants' quarters notion was out of whack

the address in question just seemed to have several unrelated people at any given time, many of them with 'foreign' names

as I mentioned by PM I would really get hold of your dad's first marriage certificate just to have as much info as possible

Just so anyone reading knows, Serena and I have been PMing and I've given her rather a load of info that isn't really appropriate for the boards, so lots of new questions and things to investigate (in particular about what is mentioned in the old thread) ... :-)

don't forget that there may have been responses to that old thread ...............

It was not possible to reply on a thread in 2004, all responses were by pm ................. so no-one knew what had been sent or who by.

I often thought that OPs would receive loads and loads of duplicate pms from "helpers"

Knowing what I know after a few hours with search engines last night, Sylvia, I doubt there were any replies to that post!

I hope she is treading carefully! The daughter probably has an inkling of how things were, but one never knows.
