I need some help please. Searching for John B. Pick, born 1923, Chapel-en-leFrith, Derbyshire. His father (Samuel H. Pick) and my grandfather (Elvin Pick) were brothers from Horsforth near Leeds, W. Yorks. I believe he married Gene Atkinson (spelling seems correct according to records which is unusal for a female) in Ilkeston, Derbyshire in 1943. Other than that I cannot trace any further. Cannot find children, deaths or a divorce.
I do not know what the B stands for and would be keen to know.
To confuse matters there is another John Bagshawe Pick, also born 1923 in Buxton, Derbyshire who married a lady from Cape Town S.Africa. I have contacted a relation of this second John B on GR and she is certain that we are not related. Anyone able to do better for me? Cheers! :-)

Not sure that is the same John B. Pick that John is looking for. As per my earlier post there is a John B. Pick and Gene Pick still living together on the 2013 Electoral register.

Thanks everyone. John Bagshawe Pick married Mildred Nelson (from Cape Town) and I believe this is probably an unlikely coincidence but not ruling it out yet.

I couldn't find a birth of a John B. Pick with mother's maiden name Atkinson so I don't think Gene is living with a son. In fact I don't think they had any children as far as I can see.

Thanks for your help everyone. I think there's the strong likelihood that they are still alive and had no children. Did anyone notice if John had just the one sibling: a sister, Edith Gladys Pick b.1920 who married Burrand F. Cox 1940 and died 1990? I have info and descendants for her but never found if these were the only 2 siblings in the family.
