Can anyone help me please. I am trying to find out who Robert Bell Married.
As far as I know he was borin in shoredithch, London or Bethnal Green London and was born in 1833. I'm stuck now so wondered if anyone can help. Also is there something wrong with the site at the moment as I can't access all the pages. I keep getting "server error in application".

Do you think you could delete the other 3 as people may end up replying on all of them?

What else do you know about Robert - such as who were his parents, do you have him on later census? Do you know that he did actually marry?

I really don't know anything about Robert accept that he appears in the 1861 census. It states he was married to Elizabeth Bell but of course doesn't give her surname. I'm really interested in his wife as she gave birth to one of her children in Shalford, Essex, and all the other children were born in Shoreditch.London. Could she have come from Shalford? did she have family there? How would she have got there being heavily pregnant and so on. Throws up so many questions.

The only other information I have on him is that he probably died between 1861 and 1871 as on the 1871 census it has his wife as being the head. In my notes on him I have his death as being 1867 but can't remember where that information came from.

Thank you Shirley. The last information you put up is definitely him but as I say I'm interested in knowing more about his wife and don't know how to go about it other than to find a marriage certificate. Thanks for you help.

for information, on the 1861 census Charles Bell, aged 3, was born in Stratford, Essex - it has been mis-transcribed as Shalford, Essex

The census says Elizabeth was born in Bethnal Green

The youngest son Charles was born in Stratford
