Wow, think i opened a can of worms lol. I have never looked at Genealogist so will do before i make up my mind...Once again thank you Folks for your kind help and insight, I will just be sitting here doing my FH...x

Hi Reggie.... The problem is on marriage - death certs his year of birth is diffrent as it is on every census i can find him on since his marriage...I think i have found his family but need a wee bit more evidence, just tried local Echo for his death notice none....wish i could find were he was buried that may help but nothing in paper so bit of a dead end....

This is only partly correct.

a. Many trees on Ancestry are private and access is by invitation only. The proportion of private trees is rising rapidly. There are two kinds of private trees, those which list people in them and closed with no list.

b. Ancestry trees often contain a great deal of information about the family history other than the bare tree. This is NOT transmitted into Mundia.

c. A great many Ancestry members are not aware of Mundia and when they do find out their first response is often to make their tree private.

d. Mundia is not reliable and should not be treated as authoritative. Always check any data carefully.
