Posting another thread about this man won't get you any different answers.....and will, in fact, only antagonise people. |

I now think Ann Dobson was Jacobs 1st wife, there is a marriage 1803 in Bridlington, I cannot see any children for them. There is a possible death for Ann in May 1842 buried in Whitby. I then think Jacob re married to Mary Northwood in 1842. |

Yes, of course you could be right...........but unless you want to carry on wondering, spend £9.25 on the marriage cert |

Toyah, as has been mentioned, you really do need to buy that 1842 marriage certificate. The details have previously been posted but here it is again: |

What information will it have on the marriage certificate, does it give birth date of those getting married? My problem is the name Jacob was carried down through generations. Does a birth certificate always reveal the parents way back then? I am intending to buy these I just wondered. Thanks |

As already explained, the marriage cert will tell you Jacob's father's name..................if he knew him. |

There is a newspaper article dated 1.5.1847, in the York Herald and the Yorkshire Gazzett. It starts Mary Hagues of Auburn House. Is any one able to veiw this article/family notice and let me know what it says please, I would be most grateful |
