It appears to be harder than I thought when it comes to dates of baptisms. So a lot of baptisms can't fully determine the birth dates!!
How would I view the registers?? Official Images?

ARTHUR HILL is the son of THOMAS HILLS (1838) who moved to Cardiff and changed his surname to HILL (that's how we are now HILL). But his father was named JAMES HILLS and his father appeared as THOMAS HILLS (1766) in a marriage record but his baptism appears as THOMAS HILL...

You are concerned he's recorded as HILL not HILLS. Your surname appears HILL - when did it change.

Sarah gives her YOB as 1808/9 which mean she was 17/18 in 1827; b 1819 she would have been too young to marry in 1827. I wonder if there has been an error in transcribing the year of the baptisms. You could try asking at your nearest Mormon FHC to view the film:

Yes, that may be possible.. A late baptism because JAMES HILLS shows up in the censuses and the age determines his birth year.. He may have been baptised late yes...
