Can any one help please?
I am seeking the date of birth of my late uncle RALPH ATKINSON

He was killed in action while serving as a stoker first class aboard CORVETTE HMS BLUBELL.
Torpedoed 1944 while escorting Russian Convoys.
He was born approx 1924, not certain of the year.
I've searched through GR unsuccessfully.

His Father was Thomas Atkinson born 1880.
I'd appreciate it if any one could tell me uncle Ralph,s date of birth

He was born in Newcastle upon Tyne Northumberland

You will have to purchase his birth cert if you know who his father married

David , do you know his mother's name, that would help to pinpoint the marriage of his father, and then that can be used to find his birth, as the mother's maiden name will show in the index.

Hello David, if he was your uncle then obviously a brother of your mother or father.

What is the maiden name of their mother on their birth record (assuming post 1911)?

As you'll be aware, there are a lot of Atkinsons here in Newcastle.

If it is the correct birth then these are siblings, and I cannot see a marriage (unless the Mother had been married before)

IF it's him, there are no likely marriages on FreeBMD. Apart from two before Thomas was born, there's only this one, which is far too late, unless Ralph's parents didn't marry until after his death :
