Remember that IE compatibility view "torn paper" will only appear when IE detects a possible compatibility issue, it will appear for some sites but not for others although you can over ride this on IE10 by going to Tools, then compatibility view settings, then enter the web addy |

As jax has said the C&P for IE is back to normal now, i.e. either use Compatibility View or View Printer friendly. |

I have been running IE10 for about two weeks now. I have just tried to re-post a census that I posted to a thread on the 18th with no problems - today I have got the gaps. |

If the messaging system supports HTML then the format will be OK, if it only supports text messages then you get extra linefeeds. I presume FB is like GR and only supports text messages. |

I think the change has been to Ancestry which IE now considers to be compatible so that the Compatibility View facility is no longer needed. |

If its any help I have used Chrome for everything for about 3 years now and I have never had any problems and I think it is a little bit quicker than Fire Fox which I used previously |

On IE10, you don't have the 'torn' paper, you have to go into 'tools' |
