Have I now GOT to register to use the new Familysearch records - I've never done that in the past? |

Just go in to familysearch.org as normal and select search. That should give you the familiar search screen |

About a year ago, before the latest new look, I found that I could search without any bother, but, sometimes, if I wanted to see the original images, I had to register - of course, I did - I've seen enough stuffed up transcriptions to know I should check the image whenever I can - I don't recall if this was UK images, or just US ones. |

I had a problem a while ago, where it said I had to register to view an image. Even after doing so, I still couldn't. This was for Kent workhouse records which weren't indexed. |
