I have copy of my grandfathers birth cert but can'nt find him or his mother in the 1911 census. any idea's as to where to look now as I have been looking most of this week. |

thank you Karen in the desert and reggie and also porkie pie all suggestions taken with thanks. My grandfather on his birth cert was given the name albert Edward Beesley, his mother was bertha Beesley and he was born on the 16 September 1902.his address was 66 St James street , Duddeston , Aston Warwickshire. We didn't know until he died that he had been adopted we knew him as Albert Edward Aldridge http://www.genesreunited.co.za/boards/board/genealogy_chat/thread/1319994# :-D |

I doubt they married? as for adoption their was no legal adoption at that time so i think the children registered in mmn just adopted dads name over time |
