There's a Temple Street listed for Southwark/St George the Martyr Southwark, which may come under Lambeth, but a cursory look at these doesn't reveal a George Jones. |

Have found William's school record - it look like a beginning of term list - gives William's birth as Oct 1883. It doesn't look like a boarding school or institution, so would presume William was living with his parents. |

Thank you for your reply s, that where I got the information from on Ancestry, trying to trace the birth of a William John Jones born 1883 in the 1911 census he is down as William Thomas born St Lukes living in Essex but my friend said her grandfather was always known as William John. |

The man shown on 1911 census is unlikely to be the one whose school info is posted...........he would have been born no later than 31st March 1883...........not in October of that year |
