I think this is the couple for the marriage that safc found and James mentioned. There is no sign of a son William John and Joseph is a bricklayer |

If she did marry George Ridgway, there is a death in 1906 for a Martha Ridgway.. Also noticed a death in 1900 for a Martha Dormer so was wondering if either of these was the correct one. Both deaths are in Buckinghamshire. Also cannot find anything in 1891 census for either of them or the son John. I know he joined Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders at Stirling, Scotland in 1891 but not sure if it was before or after the census date. He is not on the 1891 Scotland Census. |

The death you found in 1906 does look like it should be the right Martha with the right age. The other death for Martha (Dormer) is Wycombe Registration District outside the area that she previously lived. |

Hi K...thanks for the above info. My Dad was looking about earlier and found this William J Dormer in the 1891 Census in London so looks like it is the same one...will notify the family friend I was doing this for to see what he thinks |
