The Wills and Probate are scanned copies of the original 'copies', be they hand written or typed. |

I am so grateful to all who have helped with this, I have been back through the peerage info and looked at the Wikipedia link. There are many interesting avenues to explore . The st Aubyn family own st michaels mount in Cornwall which I have visited several times without any idea that there was a family connection . |

It was James Molesworth Wade , who served with Lawence of Arabia I was originally interested in as he married my ancestor Gwendolen Carter. I also believe his father was James Herne Wade , both were lt. Col. , the first in Royal Engineers, second in 90th light infantry . |

As he was an officer he wouldn't have a number. There are no Army officers records online, although you can get a basic outline of his career from the London Gazette. |
