My great great grandfather John Bonner was born 1806 (East Indies British subject). He is in the 1851 census living in UK but not the 1841 or the 1861 census. How can I look for him and where? :-S |

A huge thank you Lynski, Reggie and MarieCeleste. Quick work! I am fairly new to all this. I have traced quite a lot of my mothers family and I'm now working on my father's side. I missed John Bonner in 1841 as it is spelt Bonnar, but undoubtedly the same. Similarly in 1861 John was living with his daughter and son in law. Thank you for all your help. It will now take me a while to update my tree! |

Reggie, Thank you but I won't be using a site run by the Church of Latter Day Saints |

Patricia, there are no religious connotations to the site. It is one of the most widely used genealogical resources. |

Patricia, the FamilySearch site is one of the most valuable resources for genealogists. By using it you are not endorsing the Latter Day Saints, who have made their data available free of charge. It has been compiled to aid their interest in retrospective baptism and its sources are a great complement to worldwide published BMD records. |
