My Grandad was George William Thomas Hindley b.1936-1998, His dad Was George W hindley born 1900- 1977 and married johanna Gemmell in !925 his dad then was George Hindley born 1868 we think he died 1949, he married an Elizabeth Jane whos maiden name i dont know but think they married 1899 they aslso had a Thomas Hindley in 1908/09. Elizabeth Jane died in 1916 age 48. According to my family there was also a second marriage who then had Jackie{John} Margaret and Hughy. I can not find any records of these kids being born, did he move away?? and who are they too?? also where is George Hindley from?? This has all came about as my nan died Mary Rita Chadwick 1940-2012 and we found grave deeds regarding George W Hindley we know know that he bought this grave off a Robert Pass But neither Robert or George W is in the grave but Elizabeth Jane Hindley Is?? I think Geworge married someone else 1st but i think am wrong was it normal to still be having kids after there 50??

Your question about having children at the age of 50.......

Perfectly feasible for a man to father children at that age.........and older, but you obviously must take into account the wife's age, as she is the one who bears the children.

Thank you so much for your quick replies,it took me a wek to find all that out using all the websites you's have mentioned and also contacted the people who link but no reply. the gemmell side seem to go back as far as 1781, thats next to tackle.

But where does John, Hughie an margaret fit in and who are they to??

How would i find out where william hindleys dad and so on.

There is also a baby called Hannah Doris Harris in the grave who died 4months old and buried in 1906

Before the baby was buried their is a woman asfar as we can make out called catherine torrentine in there first, buried 1899 WHO IS SHE AND THE BABY???

Im trying to get the hang of this where would i find my favorites?

Where has Taylor come into it ? How would george hindley then be george hindley taylor.

How would i find out if there was a divorce from Elizabeth Jane and George because, George would have had Hugh and John (jackie) while Elizabeth was still alive as she died in 1916.

So where does Margaret who was ment to be georges other child to this other woman fit in.

My G.Grandad George W Hindley Bought a Grave deed off a Robert Pass in 1916 oviously to buiry his mum Elizabeth Jane In 1916.

But Robert Pass died in 1909. We know this from going to the record office in town.

Can some one Help me on understanding How a Catherine middle name we cant make out on the deed it looks like calastre Torrintine died 1899 is in the grave with Elizabeth Jane Hindley.

The Hannah Doris Harriss b1906d1906 is also in the grave but dont know who here parents are .

I have found a record of a Hannah Harris marrying a Alexander Lever in !884, this may have nothing to do with anyone,

but there whitnesses where William Miller and Mary C Miller who am presuming has something to do with ElizabethJane Hindley(nee) Miller

Could they have all lived together or am i so wrong, Any ideas on what to do??
