researching Clayson in Northampton or Wrexham ??

Finally tracked down my grandad. A Clayson from Wrexham married a Clayson from Northampton. Do not know much more so need help please :-\ |

No I have not got any Cert's yet its taken me nearly 8 years to get this far with him. :0(( He is a real mystery and all my dads siblings have all passed away |

No thats not them. The Elizabeth Clayson (his mum) later went on to marry Thomas Ives. But I cannot find a death of a C Clayson in the right period. |

The George Clayson Ives is my grandad and the Joseph Ives is my late father although he was born in 1910. |

Your gt grandmother was not married when your grandfather was born so he was registered as Clayson, but he obviously took his step fathers name when he married and on later census's. |

If you look at the 1881 census I gave you it says Elizabeth Clayson Single living as a lodger with her 3 year old son Edward |

I have seen that one Jax thank you but then it gets confusing when you check grandads birth record on line. Thats where I get stuck and need help. I suppose the easiest way is to go to Northampton and check through the records myself. |
