I have spent what little free time I had this weekend going over the suggestions that have been made by Joy and by Erin. I now know a bit more about Irish genealogy and about my Roper family. Between us we have traced a few references to other Ropers who may well be part of Anthony's family - probably siblings, but I am no nearer to finding the elusive Anthony, b. c1814. |

I am looking at army service records right now - some give next of kin, some don't. Have just seen a Thadaeus but when I opened the images, I was disappointed to see he was born in Surrey. |
