I am looking to find information on my mother named Marion M Cross, she died in may 1953 in blackburn and I am unsure of when she was born. So far I have one birth certificate of a Marion Cross which proved to be the wrong one as her fathers name on the marriage certificate to my father doesnt match the one on this certificate. Please help me |

My parents were both 27 when they married on the 1st July 1944, my mother married my father named Robert John Gallagher. Her fathers name on the marriage certificate is Joseph Cross. My mother’s middle name was May. Apologies for duplicating, I am new to the site. |

What was her father's occupation? |

Thelma | Report | 25 May 2011 22:43 |
Her fathers occupation was a lecturer as far as I am able to make out on the marriage certificate. The witnesses are Emma Bellotti and Owen A Holroyd. |

I believe the marriage cert for May has the father as Albert wheras on the marriage in 1944 its Joseph, OR is it the birth cert for Marion who has the father of Albert ??? |

1911 for the one who married Barnes........occupation is not as per the 1944 marriage cert - unless, of course 'lecturer' is actually 'butcher'. There seems to be some doubt about the actual record |
