I am helping a work colleague search for info about her grandfather George Walter Sergeant 06/08/1910 in Gt Yarmouth. I have sent for his birth cert and only his mother's name is given - Ada Sergeant. I know that George married Gladys Adams in Northampton in June 1933.
I have found a birth for an Ada Annie Sargeant in Gt Yarmouth in 1899 on Free BMD. This could be a sister as my colleague remembers an older sister of George, named Ada.
I would appreciate any help or suggestions. I have previously had some help from Jackie on here (thank you Jackie)but she was unable to find any more info.
Is it possible to search by address on the 1911? The address on the birth cert was 96 Exmouth Road, Gt Yarmouth.
I will be around on here tonight for a short while but if not will check back in tomorrow when I finish work.

Ada's maiden name should have been on the birth certificate.

Ada's maiden name wasn't on the birth cert, only the name Ada Sergeant with a dash underneath. However, with all the info given to me I am hopeful that I will be able to find her maiden name from her marriage cert. Off to do some more searching.

1901 census gives her birthplace as Pakefield........that might help to pin her down
