Susan, this is ALL I want to do! :-)

Find a marriage for Thomas Morris to a woman with the same maiden name as the one for Lilian's birth!

Pollypoppet found the Bradshaw one above, and she's right that they could have married in Llandudno and then come back to her parents for Lilian's birth in Wigan, but it's not satisfying is it?

You just wish sometimes these older generations had been more considerate of us future ancestry hunters when living their lives and deciding where to marry and have babies! ;-)

The hunt goes on for Lilian then, I will go and check your Richards lead and have a nosey.

My Mum said that after little Anthony died as a baby , his mother ran away in grief and shock and wasn't heard of again. My Mum's Auntie told her as a little girl that she had lain on him in bed and smothered him. My Nana told my Mum he had been accidentally dropped into a scalding bath.

It all starts to sound a bit macarbre. :S

Susan

William would be VERY strange indeed, as in the 1911 census he is clearly listed as Thomas Morris, and his older brother was William.

Hmmm....just when it seemed promising.... :-)

is there any way of finding out if the mother's name at his death in Conway is the same as on the birth reg, ( Lee) in Manchester?\>

Thanks for that Susan, but he had no middle name and Brentford takes it off the radar for him.

Hi Joe
Sorry but nothing is jumping out at me .

I would get the death cert for Anthony J ,that I would think would give you his mothers name.

Edite
I think Rose has the most likely one one page one

Joe, i too would go for that death cert for Anthony, as your mum has a couple of possible causes of death if one of them matches the cause on the cert' it will at least mean you are sure of area.

edit, and if that death is correct, the corresponding birth cert will have mother's name even if the death cert doesnt?

Good thinking Sue and Rose,

Thanks both and it seems a good avenue to go down,

Joe.
