thankyou to everyone for all the information you have found this will be a great help.Will pass on all this to my nan tommorow,she has tried to find her mum back in the 50s but was stopped,sadly to late to find her alive but hoping for a reletive. |

Hi Kay, a very useful tool is the "Search Trees" facility where you can find out if any other GR members have your family in their tree. |

thanks for everyones help on this,just found a death of a iris armstrong born in 1900 died in 1993 in bradford.This question is going to sound stupid,but if she married would her death cert be in her married or maiden name |

If she married then her death should have been recorded in her married name. |
