The surviving WW1 service records are available at Ancestry. If you do not have a subscription post details of who it is you are looking for. Give as much info as you can, Full name, where and when born, Any wife or parents names ect and if known which regiment they served in, service No if known. |

Here is another site who definiteley have a photo of his headstone, this one you have to pay for though, £3-00 by email version or £5-00 hard copy sent in the post.They do send other info, exactly what i dont know. |

There are plenty of surviving records for those who died, amongst the WW1 service records, but of course, even more were destroyed. |
