Have you looked on familysearch site - not the online records, but their library or whatever it's called now. The listing of what films they have. You can hire the relevant film and view it at your local LDS church. No idea what year the records go to but worth a thought if you can narrow down the likely church. |

It would probably be a combined Services church where you were Christened, if it was Germany and my guess would be the military base at Rheindahlen. |

You might like to try the archives in Walthamstow. They should be able to locate the parish registers for the local churches. I've found them very helpful in the past. |

Obviously not the same for everyone but I would think that in 1954 you would have been more likely to have been christened within a couple of months of your birth so probably in this country. |
