Many thanks for the overwhelming replies. Charlotte and Tomas Elliott are mine and with your help with deciphering Mary age 5 surname. I have done some work and ascertained she is their grand daughter. Father Joeseph Hancox mother Mary Elliott. Thank you all again, and for help with occupation. |

The Father is 'S'smith' silver smith, so I think William is either S maker or S beater |

I read 1841 occupation of Thomas as... S smith ( silversmith maybe ?) and William as ? key M (maker ?) |

The Hancocks theory was correct I looked for a baptism on the IGI and found her as Mary Charlotte Elliott Hancocks! Father Joseph Hancocks and Mary. What a can of worms. Thank you tempest for looking at the 51. |

I didn't know you had to leave or refresh the page - since when? Or do you mean you just have to "get away" from your thread, which I usually do by looking at another one. |

Haven't a clue about William's occupation by the way! Looking at the page the enumerator has used a lot of letters and abbreviations, curse him. Have put out a plea for more help. |
