I'm saying that's the right one, SatNav. I think that Allison might have confused his mother's name with his wife's. I could be wrong though. It's been known to happen before (once or twice)! |

Are you sure about the names, Allison? The only Philip Pashley showing up on the American censuses in Schenectady is the one I posted on the 1880 census. he was born in England abt 1866/67, son of Thomas & Mary and he was later married to Josephine. |

One of the entries in the Schenectady newspaper was an obit for Mary E. Dry, died 1928, age 87, wife of the former THOMAS Pashley. She was born 1841, Lincoln, England. She had sons Thomas and Philip, 9 grandchildred and 9 gt. grandchildren. |

This site has listings for Northern New York newspapers. If you enter "Philip Pashley" there are 76 hits in Schenectady newspapers. A warning, it takes quite a while for the newspaper to download. |
