Except AGG, wouldn't she be a Hall by then?

Looks like we're looking for a James Hall that's 10 years younger.

William Hall Ann abt 1821 Darlaston, Staffordshire, England Head Darlaston, Staffordshire - Iron Furnace Man

John, I think we need to go to a census that has one of the children of James & Ann whom you know you're connected to. Will you give us his/her name & place of birth?

John, I think we need to know what facts you have.

Is the marriage posted by safc correct? If so, I think you need to get the marriage certificate for them.

I can't see any point in going further without it.

wisechild Report 5 Dec 2010 16:26

Most probably a gun screwer. Part of the gunmaking trade which was a major employer in the area.
Guns weren´t made as one operation. Each bit was made separately, often in small workshops attached to the worker´s home. There were gun screwers, gun filers, gun stockers etc etc.
Definitely not what you were thinking AoGG
