Aha, just to say, my solicitor friend has emailed me to confirm exactly what you have said - no evidence of a father, (the removal of his name from the certificate renders it as being no father named), no reregistration, therefore illegitimate according to legislation a that time. And therefore no direct blood connection with any other children of the subsequent marriage. |
