Thanks SatNav, it looks like that could be him, assuming of course that he is Charles Edward and not Edward C, this one deffinately matches up with the Charles Edward born 1901 that I found. |

thank you, I have made a note, and have been taking a look at the census record, never thought to search under the name comber....I suppose I will have to wait for my grandparents marriage certificate to come, I have a feeling that its still going to be difficult to pinpoint what family he will belong to as I have no idea where he was born. I also know that I will only get a name and profession of his father at time of marriage. |

E C Coomber and another name that looks like A M Spences but the S looks like F but assumed its a S. The certificate is a bit difficult to read in places. |

I think you have this already, but just in case here's a possibility for his father on 1911 census |

Thank you very much Tempest, bless you....Yes the last one I have it just baffled me that if its correct and this is his father, why would he put that he had 3 children and 1 died? Thats why I assumed that maybe he couldn't be the father. As I understand it he would of filled out his own census is that right? |

Could be the right family in 1911 based on this marriage |

Edward's birth before their marriage? Could explain the number of children listed in 1911 |

Wow you are clever people Thank you very much, that just confirms it that both are correct census matches for my Grandfathers family. Just odd that he would put that he has only 2 living children and not 3. |
