I have lost track of the above Orlando born 1862 at Rattlesden Suffolk by 1891.
In 1881 he is a lodger, journey carpenter in Hitcham Suffolk.

He does not always use Orlando(which would have been easier to trace!!) but seems to have prefered John.
I think he may have married a Mary...sirname unknown and know in later life he moved to Twickenham
Any info on him and his family post 1891 would be a great help.

I agree, Choccy. I think Elijah may be a relative, but not his father.

I was thinking that Orlando John King was the son of Elijah and Angelina, but that he was probably with relatives or at school in 1871 (after the death of his mother and re-marriage of Elijah to Matilda) and mis-transcribed elsewhere.

The Elijah from Bury MAY be a relative but a distant one!!
In 1871 Elijah and his sister were staying at the grandparents farm, Angelinas parents .

Yes Ozi, in 1871 he was staying with his grandparents, and sister Mary Ann, in Preston Suffolk (Joseph & Mary Ann King) not the Jacksons as I said in the previous message.

His birth place is recorded as Rattlesden.
