Also any replicia medals issued will not be named stamped or a service number on the rim of it ,as is usual with the first time issue ones ,,,,just a plain medal. |

If you have a subscription to Ancestry you can see if his service record is there. Unfortunately 60% of army records were burnt in WW2 so you may not find him. Also if your grandfather received an army pension he may be in those records on Ancestry. |
