I bow down in ore ,,, thank you so so so much every one for the information. It certainly would explain so much as to why we couldnt find or trace them, and also why she wouldnt talk about her family if her mum was unmarried or had run off with someone! I have just phoned my Grandfather with the news that we could have a possible lead and he is chuffed to bits, I could hear the smile down the phone :) |

just to add.. it may actually have been then that she honestly didnt know anything about her family as she was only a wee girl when her mum died. |
