Unable to find Doris in birth register know she was born 1905, came from Wales married John H. S Stewart in 1933 at Holborn. |

Sylvia - the b.rego was not USUALLY amended in the case of the addition of a name at baptism, but it could be. If one brought in a baptismal cert showing a different name, then that would be entered into col 10 of a b.rego. One could also make a declaration. (There was a time limit, but I forget what it was). The law said one had to register a birth within 6 w, not that one needed to name the child within 6 w. This was one mechanism to avoid having a family full of "unnamed male"s and "unnamed female"s for those who believed one shouldn't put off until tomorrow anything you could put off until the day after tomorrow. |

So, assuming that you have the marriage certificate of the one I have found, what was her father's name and occupation? And was her age about 28 on marriage? |

There's far too many Doris Coopers in the 1911 census to check. Really need more info. |

Alan you should have replied on here rather than to me personally, using the purple Reply button rather than clicking on my name, so that everyone who is interested can see the reply. |

Worth having a play in FreeBMD. There are not many records for Isaac John Cooper. Just these: |

Annie is shown as the daughter. Image shows they have been married 10 years and have had one child born alive. |
