hi there, am rubbish at this !! i am trying to find the names of my g grandparents, i have no one to ask as its a birth family im tracing, n ow i know i can get the cert which i will get round to doing but i just wondered if there were any other ways i could get the names of my g grand paents or their children ? any help at all would be great thanks

Depends where they lived, if it was London there has been alot of success with the LMA, otherwise you probably have to wait for the certs

they were from chorlton in manchester as far as i can gather and the other half are from washington in the north east! oh well will wait for the cert! thanks tho

What dates were your grandparents born? Have you tried Familysearch? The last year for Chorlton is 1837

family search?? not heard of that! my granparent was born 1905 died 1991 name agnes pearson married charles flowers im trying to get her parents names

Looks like Agnes was not with her parents on the 1911 census

Looks like the transcription is wrong, it's not wife aunt, it's wife daug, so we've got to look for parents of Pauline Pearson? Assume father unknown.

wow!!! u got further in 5 mins than i got in a month!! now correct me if im wrong but if i can marry agnes to the right person then i can safely guess its the right person whilst im waiting for the cert?? she married a charles flower

Didn't go to bed yet, did the search from 1923 to 1933 and haven't found a marriage.

If you send for Agnes and Charles marriage cert it will have both fathers names and occupations.

Or .......it will have fathers name left blank for Agnes father

Or...........it will have her stepfathers name and occupation.

Either of these will help you prove the Agnes found on the census is yours or not

this is my great gandparent havent got the cert yet but has been ordered but what with the post etc........ anyway! have found out agnes pearson was her birth name then she married a gentleman with the surname campbell but i havent got his first name she then re married charles flower havent got dates as that is as much info as i could possibly get from mmy birth mum
