OK, I'm confused now.....I'm trying to trace the baptism of George Beland who was christened 14th September 1804 at St Dunstans Stepney. On the new LMA records there seem to be four groups of records that all cover 1804. How do I know which of these groups to look at? |

There doesn't appear to be a record for George Beland, 1804. |

Well they arent all there and as you say the older untranscribed records are a bit hard going at present on some pages and of course they dont have all events as yet but my goodness Id have saved a fortune in certs if theyd had this stuff 6 years back. |

The burial records are really useful too because you generally have an age on the register entry, many years before age is shown on the deaths on GRO....Much more likely to find the correct person if you need to order a certificate. |

Are they planning to transcribe the pre-1813 births, does anyone know? |

Thanks Moonbeam - I'm on Firefox. I've tried enlarging to 75% and then printing but it still seems very hard to read. I also cannot seem to change the orientation of the page. I'll have another go. |

What a fantastic update for those of us with London ancestors, I have spent hours on there, and maybe could have saved a few quid on marriage certificates, but never mind. It is very addictive though!!!! |

Hi, I have just had a look on ancestry regarding the LMA records, and then up popped membership - I have only been on the site a few times, can anyone tell me whether £100 approx membership fee for the year is worth it?? |

Absolutely worth it in my opinion, Maddie |

Thanks Moonbeam - I didn't even know what the 'toggle full screen' button did! I have finally found how to change to landscape and the marriage record is a little bit easier to read. |

Middie, £75 would be even better - register on quidco.com, go through their link to ancestry and you will get 25% of the sub back in cash. |

Just a tip I found - go to marriages and just put in father's name and nothing else - this way I have found a couple of second marriages for my ancestors that I am sure I would never have found. Good luck Irene |

Middi, join up, log in - have you given them your details for the payments to be made to you? I used a pay pal account at first but its limited to £50 and I was getting £100 sometimes from car insurance policies, so now I have my bank details for them to pay me (Over £900 in 3 years). |
