Through Ancestry I have found a border crossing showing my great aunt returning from a visit to her brother in Canada in 1921. I have his address (well, not the number of the road, but the road, the town, the province). |

Another thing to try is to 'google' the place he lived in and look for a local/family history society for that area. I did this for Hamilton Ontario and found it very helpful and also was able to e-mail them. |

Thanks Belle - I think I have just about exhausted all the Canadian information that is on-line. short of employing a researcher I dont know how much further I can go at present - I'm obviously awaiting further census info (like I am in the UK). |

Jac: If he was living in Ontario, I can try to help (I was born in Ontario). I cannot promise anything, since it would be a "recent" record, but it can't hurt to look. |

If you'd like to post a name, Jac, we might be able to help. Unlike Lisa, I'm still in Ontario. She's basking in sunny California and I'm in the snow. |

Yikes! It had to be a common name Like John King. (Only John Smith would be worse) |

Hi Margaret - I've searched the Home Children lists and might have found a "suitable" John King, but as there is so little information about the children it could be the wrong one. |

What date were the children discharged from the original home? |

The one that George mentioned is on the collectionscanada site. Is with Mrs. Birt's party and says the destination is Knowlton, Quebec. He should be on the 1911 census. Off to look again. |
