I order certs from GRO to my address abroad and they don't charge me postage. Takes a bit longer but usually have them within 2 weeks. Great service |

Hi Webster the big fat cat, I hadn't tried to order anything from Ancestry for a couple of months so you can guess my reaction when I realised that they had changed the site and were now using their own agent to provide the service!! Of course I went straight back to GRO and ordered and now awaiting the certificate before I can go on with my next step. Just saw this when checking something out so glad that other people have realised that these people are feeding off of people! |

We in the UK are able to order from the GRO with a reasonable delivery time. |

While on the subject of certificates. I am now the proud owner of three that disappointingly are not connected to my family. Where am I going wrong? Is there anything I can do with them? |

I always order my certs directly from the Register Office. You get a more personal service, have even had them check that they have it before I sent order off, and some don't even ask for the postage ! |

I agree Webster, Newies are more likely to read the Tips board (we hope!) & no one wants them to pay these prices |
