Hi having lost enthusiasm of late, I would like again to start looking for my 3 x gt grandmother, however each time I start, Im not sure where to begin. |

It was usual to marry in the Brides Parish so the first assumption would be Mile End Old Town. You would need to search for her baptism in the parish records for that area as a start. |

another thought!! sometimes the witnesses on the marriage record may help if a member of the family. ie if you can find their baptism too and the parents match up |

I would go with her age from the death certificate. 1841 rounded down the ages. So, she would have been born about 1797. But, if you do search the parish records start a few years before - just in case! |

If she was 40 in the 1841 census she could be any age between 40 and 44. So birth year would be between 1797 and 1801. The death record points to 1797. At marriage in 1814 she would therefore be 17 which is not unreasonable. |
