Thanks for the info.But i do have the Website facility on mine but I'm not sure about the the Internet storage back up. Will go and have a look.
I was considering changing to the 2008 version but there seems too many adverse comments about it

No Penny, on FTF they are saying that it sounds like a stand alone program.

I mean it would make sense that they give a new program to all the disgruntled 2008 owners but may be they have made a slip up and are also giving them to 2006 registerations. I still cant register my 2008 so .............

George, yes, now you mention it, I think it was just the internet back up storage that was the main difference.

How do you get he internet storage on 2006?

Click on File, click on back up, choose internet storage.

I use 2006 and have had no problems with it.

Until a new version gets rave reviews I won't bother upgrading!

No sue, having spent since last night trying to install and register my 2008 which Ive had for 9 months and didnt like, I dont blame you. Its the worse program in the world with so many problems no wonder they have rushed out a 2009 version.

Do you have to pay for the storage?

I think you get it free for the first few months after you install 2006 and then its about a fiver a year. I can assure you its money well worth spending. I sat here one day nearly in tears - hard drive crashed and I hadnt updated my cd back up in months.

With new puter, I reloaded the FTM program, clicked on back up from internet, heart in mouth and 5 years work reappeared like magic. Phew.

By the sounds of it, I'm better off sticking to my 2006 version - took me long enough to learn my way round it....lol, I'm not very good at computer-type stuff!!

I've just ordered mine - thought at £2.95 it was worth a look, especially as it specifically says on the email that I'd registered FTM 2008 and my FTM is 2006. Looks like they definitely made a mistake - if you want it, get in quick before they notice!!

I would pass on the details to others but it's a one time user only code so is no use to anyone else.

Should be here in 2 weeks (but the usual get out clause allow for 6 weeks).

Yes, mine arrived on Friday - yet to load it up though to see what, if any, differences there are!

Still at £2.35 it was a VERY GOOD BARGAIN :)))

I have just received an email from them, and I have never had one at all. I think it was a free trial they were offering. How much would it cost me to buy it if it wasnt a free trial?

No, it was just free shipping. It would cost me over US$40 to buy it. I dont know what that would be in NZ$. I think I will leave it, plenty of other expenses at present.

I had an e-mail from Amazon yesterday re the release of FTM Deluxe 2009 on 30 September.

Offering me a discount of £3.50 off £39 plus!!

I will stick with my nice reliable 2006, it does all I need it to do, no good having fancy stuff if I can't understand how to do it.
