My Epson Printer/Scanner is not working properly, things I scan and print out have lines running from top to bottom. |

My HP PSC 1410 was about £45 I think - from amazon. Prints, copies, scans - does photo quality stuff. I buy all the replacement ink from Ink Club through quidco - 3 or 4 times the size same cost Mines a couple of years old and has been no trouble at all. They probably have a newer model now. |

I can't speak for Epsons, but HP printers can occasionally recover with a clean / alignment. However if this doesn't work then a change of cartridge is usually the only option as it is the cartridge itself that contains the print jets. |

Oh dear Betty. Well what I like about this HP one is that the HP service centre is so good. You go to their website and you can download bits free. Oh yes, amazon and most places deliver to your door. Have a look at PC World website. |

Sounds to me like a problem with your print head - I had a similar problem, and found it was down to me using cheaper alternative ink cartridges - try genuine Epsom cartridges - long term they are worth it. Cheaper alternatives always ask for your old cartridge which they use over and over, and so on......nothing lasts for ever! |
