Greeting’s & Welcome. ……. Marlene.
Just using the resources I have to hand…….
And going on repeating of Family Christian names. This could be a strong possibility. ? :~ BAPTISMS :~
ST. MARY’S PARISH CHURCH HINCKLEY.
Elizabeth. Daughter of TIMOTHY & Mary Jennings. Born. 26th. August. 1807. Baptised 26th. August. 1807.
Possible Marriage of Parents above :~
St. Mary’s Parish Church. Hinckley. Timothy Jennings. ~ Mary KILPACK. 11th. November. 1800.
BAPTISM :~
ST. MARGARET’S PARISH CHURCH STOKE GOLDING.
Samuel. Son of Timothy Jennings. & Mary. 23rd. April. 1843. Father:~ Timothy Jennings. Mother:~ Mary.
So the Marriage of Timothy Jennings to a Mary ? could have been at Stoke Golding Before 1843.?
But I think I’ll need to look at the Registers of both Parishes At the Records Office to be sure.
MIKE.

Hi
Hope someone can help with this query.
I am looking for the parents of Timothy Jennings born about 1813 in Hinckley - he married a Mary ? from Stoke Golding.
Timothy seems to be the family christian name as there is a Timothy b 1840 and one born in 1870 both in Hinckley.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
Marlene

Hm. Still doubtful.
The 1802 will refers to a deceased son of John Pool called Stephen Pool, who left 3 children. I originally thought this must be the Stephen Pool whose burial you found in 1791, but as the entry lists his parents' names (John and Elizabeth), I assume he was a child - unless it was the practice of the Barlestone vicar to list the parents' names of adults buried?
If this Stephen is the son of the John who left the will, that John probably isn't mine, because his wife was Rebecca, and he was a bachelor when they got married in 1775. To be old enough to have 3 children by 1802, Stephen must have been born no later than about 1784, and Rebecca was still alive then.

Ah, great, thanks very much, Mike - that's what I was hoping.
I thought it was unlikely that there were two butchers in Barlestone called John Pool, but there are several children mentioned in the will I found at Wigston who I haven't found on the IGI, so I thought there might be two of them.
Now I know it's the right person, I'll have another look in neighbouring parishes.
