Are you able to search on Ancestry using place and year of birth but no name? |

Hi Margaret, I didn't work that out, someone on an earler post did!! I'm not that clever!! |

Just thinking aloud - he could have anglicised his name to James ... |

I think that's a very plausible assumption too. |

I wondered what the name Theobald would have sounded like with a Suffolk accent, and I was going to try to find him using that |

Yes, your assumption sounds very plausible to me. Still doesn't explain, though, where they all are in 1901. |

Hi Jill, I think that by 1901 Anna had married Charles Studd and Harry is known by Studd then. |

Oh yes, I should have checked that. Both Reuben and Anna were single in 1891. I'm slapping my wrist! |

My assumption of this is (and it's only a guess!!) |

Cannot even find Harry in 1901 . |

Having looked at 1891 - If George Lovett is Harry's grandfather then one of his sons is Harry's father - and not married to Anna ... Or am I making assumptions here? |

I think Jacob reuben and Anna are brother and sister, not husband and wife, |

I have obtained Harry's birth certificate and he is Anna's son - No father. |

I can't find a marriage for him and I can't find a death in WW1. I haven't found him on passenger lists either. |

I was just looking for a Lovett/Theobolds marriage and can't see one |

Did he marry? If so, what was his wife's name and when did he marry? |
